These are a few pics of the oil gear showing the correct relation to the
drive gear and the clutch basket, and pics of what hitting the tabs will do
to a steel gear. Notice the extreme wear on the buffer spring tabs. In the
picture of the gear you can clearly see that the wear isn't symmetrical, but
rather starts with extreme wear, teeth missing, and gradually goes to hardly
any wear at all.
