I've tried to post this mod with picture attachment with no success. If you

This is a simple, easy mod to mount a Harley-style chrome toolbox to the old
rectifier position if you have moved it to up under the bike. Use the old
mounting bracket, but remove the spot-welded smaller bracket from the main
bracket. You can use a hack saw to remove. Sand & repaint bracket. Drill two
new holes in the toolbox to coincide with the bolts that are welded on the
bracket. Bolt on toolbox.
To keep rain from entering from the back of the box, fill the other bolt
holes.
