This is a pic of the 1500D clutch spring removed from my bike
after 11,000 miles. The inner teeth were almost worn through.
Should they wear through, you will have a complete clutch
failure. If your clutch is slipping, even slightly, I strongly
suggest you order a replacement spring and replace it ASAP.
