On
my initial test drive after the build, I made a pit stop and the bike drew its
first fan…. Cant remember where I stopped
though…. <wink> Either way I think it looks sharp,………………
and believe the bike turned out ok too. =) Details about this bike This is the Seeger Kit (said to be delivered 3
weeks after ordered but received OVER 1 year later) with 10” over forks.. same length as the ORIGINAL of this
bike
Chromed & Lowered 4" rear, Chromed forks/fan, hypered, V&H straight shots cut at angle. Drag bars on
1 x 10.5 pullback risers (BECAUSE I am 6’4”), 5.5” will look
better….and you will not have to lengthen the wire bundles…(major
pain) custom Harley grips & Kuryakun mirrors,
stainless cables, Seeger seat, Jardine
forward controls, Chrome belt drive (with issues), Custom signals, tree & swithes chromed, cruise, alarm, harley
horn, Headwinds Headlight with modded mount. license
plate & emissions mod. running a 165 main and 148 piot
jet Bike rides perfect if not a little better than stock because of the
longer wheel base…. Again do not tear down your bike in anticipation of receiving
the kit within an acceptable time frame LIKE I DID!! My bike only has 5k on it
and bought it in 1999. Kurt @ seeger was very courteous
and understanding of my “concerns” He did correct most errors made
with this order LESS the front brake line(had to use harley as the kit was to short), front axel spacers(I had
to hand make) and of course delivery time. What is interest on $1400 for a year
plus? If I HAD to do this kit
over I would only go 8” over as I have to lower the front now to get the
frame level. And ordering Chrome forks as these ARE specially made and will not
be able to replaced. Truly I believe I would just trash the
legs and go with harley
forks and lowers… Cheaper then chroming and YOU CAN GET PARTS FOR THEM!!!
ie… ball milled fork
covers Do it right the first time. Good luck. Thanks to EZ and Tweek for the email help on
the other parts of the bike… Well, Im off to go put some miles on her now,
and NO! I was
talking about the bike! Stay cool Mathew #3174 matts.email@verizon.net Marysville Live, Love, Laugh, L E A R N |
