Finally got around to installing the risers. They are the ones in Pics 01 &
02.
I really love the looks of them and they put my hands right where I want
them. Triple tree did have to be drilled as they do take 1/2"x20 thread
bolts. Cables all reach fine without any rerouting. These are on the '01
VN800A and blend in very nice with the look of the bike. Top clamp is
bolted from the bottom so screw holes are hidden. They are steel and chrome
plated.
Pic 03 is of the GenMar 1" riser extensions on Marlene's EN500LTD. These
give the same amount of rise but are not chrome plated and I just don't like
the looks of them but she likes them. Note that the bike has VN800A
handlebars.
Pic 04 is of the Aeromach Pull Back risers on the '98 VN800A. These are
nice but raise the bars a little more them I like and require reroute or
replacement of the clutch cable. You will note that the knurls in the
handlebars also show.
