Today Toa and I went to the Manfield track for the 3rd round of the Suzuki
2000 NZ National Road Race Series. It was a beaut winter's day, and there
was some close racing. Manfield is in the town of Feilding, less than 15
miles from my place, and is one of the longest GP race tracks in the
Southern Hemisphere. The whole track can be seen from the main stands, and
the venue is also home for jet sprints (boats) on an infield aquatrack, and
microlights and small plane events.
We also sat in on the lunch-break pit row riders' school run by Suzuki Team
rider Brian Bernard and one of the Suzuki international works' mechanics.
My son also took some pictures of Toa and I with our brace of beautiful teal
blue C2 BUBFs in my front yard after the race meet.
