    Hey fellow Vrocer's

For all those riders out there who are a little strapped for cash and can't
purchase an after market seat right away, here is an alternative. Below are the
instructions for tayloring the Classics manufactures seat for a more comfortable
    long distant rides:

1.) Remove the seat and take out the stables that attach the seat cover to its
plastic frame. Note do not remove all the staples. Just those that will allow
you to fold the cover under the plastic part that holds the seat cushion. You
may need remove the metal seat mounting brackets also.

2.) Carefully remove the foam seat cushion and then remove the plastic moisture
protector bag from around the cushion. Place the foam cushion on a table or
    workbench.

3.) With an Xacto knife, and starting at the top of the seat, cut along the the
ridge of the cushion to a depth of the knife (apporx. 1/2") completing the cut
back to point of original entry of the knife.

4.) Start pulling out the foam down to the depth of the knife cut and sculpt
the seat to give it the low gunfighter look. You may want to stop and put the
seat back on the bike for the right fit to your behind.

5). Once the fit is right, take a portable hand drill and attach a circular
wire brush to it. Run the wire brush over the foam rubber of the seat to
smoother out the roughness of the seat.

6.) Re-assemble the seat leaving the staples out and ride the bike for approx.
20 miles. This will give you an indication of your individual comfort. If it's
not comfortable, you may have to cut out and brush out more of the seat.

7.) After perfect fit is achieved, re-assemble the seat and re-staple it. for
about $45 to $60 or so an apolstery shop can tayler the cover to you new seat.
